A little history about your Peugeot car…

Peugeot had been manufacturing various types of products including dresses, saw blades, coffee grinders, and umbrella frames in as early as 1700s. The company began to produce motorcars in 1889.

With the onset of World War I, most manufacturers had to halt the production of cars and focused on armament production instead. However, when the First World War ended, the company resumed focusing on car production and by 1929, they were able to manufacture the first 201 which was the cheapest car on the French market at the time. Subsequently, the 202, 302, and 402 were manufactured in the late 30s and Peugeot caught up with Citroen quickly.

Peugeot bought Citroen in 1975 which made the company France’s top and foremost motorcar manufacturer. From then on, Peugeot continued to enjoy success in the consumer front as well as the rallying world, having model brand names that are synonymous with stylish yet affordable cars.
